What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Taxidermy (like so many other things) is a situation where cheaper isn't better. There are quite a few in the Scott/Wise/Russell area where you can get a shoulder mount done for $225 or less. The work I've seen come out of those shops is shameful.
If you aren't willing to spend at least $300 on a shoulder mount, just go with a nice European mount.
I went cheap with my first one (the guy worked out of his basement) and got lucky. I went cheap with my second (another basement operation) and got burned.
